Boys Frosh/Soph @ Monterey Stadium and Girls JV @ Beloit HS

Thursday evening brought the 2013 Track & Field season to a close for the Madison Memorial athletes. The girls traveled to Beloit to compete against all the conference schools and the boys headed to Janesville. Both squads represented the school well with multiple individuals earning top 6 finishes. The success of this program will be determined by what these jv athletes do to improve themselves over the summer and into next season. Every kid on our team started off here and now many of them will be competing in Regionals on Monday. Hard work and dedication can these jv athletes there next season. Make the commitment now.

Place winners at the girls junior varsity meet - Natalie S 3rd in the 100m hurdles (17.62), Kyra H 3rd in 1600m run (5:57.0), Claire F 4th in shot put (29' 5"), Kyra H 6th in the 3200m run (13:34.0), 4x800m relay in 6th (13:27.53), Ashley M 6th in high jump (4' 0"), Samantha G 8th in the 1600m run (6:18.0), Joan M 8th in the 200m dash (30.28), and Holly H 8th in discus (70' 1 1/2").

Thanks for a great season junior varsity athletes. Come out and support your teammates at regionals. Help run a great meet at sectionals and cheer on your teammates Thursday at Mansfield. Then get busy this summer improving yourself in the weight room, on the track, putting in the miles, and working to improve. Only you can determine how successful you will be next season and how big of a PR you can have in 2014.
